Waffles and Minty are survivors from one of the cruelest hoarding and animal abuse situations we have ever seen. They were confined to small cages in dark rooms, with rusted wire floors, no litter, and little to no food or water. There were 30 other cats in similar conditions (of which not all survived).
However, since their rescue, and with the love and nurturing of their foster home, they have thrived. They have put on weight, their coats are now glossy, and they have discovered that there are actually ‘good humans’. Minty now loves life and everyone. Waffles is still developing his trust (which is fair enough) so relies on her buddy Waffles as she builds her confidence.
This pair have a strong bond and would need to be rehomed together. They will completely understand if you need to leave them each day to go to work or run errands, because they have each other for company. But, they will also be happy when you arrive home. Minty still has some kitten fun in her and will be keen to play with you or her toys, before she smooches for some pats. The perfect home for them would be one that is calm, has a predictable routine, and can offer them a warm bed and bucket loads of love and care.
